Finally made a Strawberry and Kale smoothie! After some hiccups, I got it just right! All the other recipes I've seen on Pinterest use a lot of Kale or they add extra stuff like avocado, banana, etc. I've also never found one that was under 200 calories except for mine. My friend told me a great trick, if you use frozen strawberries you don't have to worry about adding ice to the blender. It makes it a lot easier! If you're looking to minimize calories but want great taste and some energy to start your morning off this is an excellent choice!
MY RECIPE FOR GREATNESS: ت
1/2c Chopped Organic Kale Leaves
1c Frozen Strawberries
2/3c Unsweetened Vanilla Almond Milk
One Container of OIKOS Greek Yogurt with strawberries
Two Packets of Truvia (0 calorie natural sugar)
Simple Steps: Chop Kale leaves. Put in blender. Put strawberries in blender. Pour 1/3 cup milk in blender. BLEND. Put yogurt in blender. Put last 1/3 cup milk in blender. BLEND. Put Sugar in blender. BLEND.
WATCH OUT FOR: I usually let the strawberries sit a few minutes then take a knife and kind of chop them up once they aren't so frozen just to help my blender out. If you have a super great blender then you probably don't need to.
CALORIES:
120 Yogurt
15 Kale
20 Almond Milk
40 Strawberries
195 TOTAL ✔️
